Thank you for taking an interest and a look at the Calumet County Police Explorers.  First off, let me tell you a little about the Explorer Program and what Calumet County Police Explorers has to offer.

Law Enforcement Exploring

Law Enforcement Exploring is a work site-based program for young men and women who have completed the eighth grade and are 14 years of age, or are 15 years of age but have not yet reached their 21st birthday.
Law Enforcement Explorer posts help youth to gain insight into a variety of programs that offer hands-on career activities. For young men and women who are interested in careers in the field of law enforcement, Exploring offers experiential learning with lots of fun-filled, hands-on activities that promote the growth and development of adolescent youth.

Calumet County Police Explorer Post 9019

The Calumet County Police post is sponsored by the Calumet County Sheriff’s Department.  The post has been in existence since 1999 when it was formed by then Sheriff Oscar Biehlke.

The post is made up of the youth of Calumet County, including Chilton, Hilbert, New Holstein, and Brillion school districts.

The Calumet County Police post takes an active role in numerous activities and community service events though out the year, including but no limited to:

As a member of the Calumet County Police Explorers, an explorer will receive opportunities to learn about and experience the different aspects of the Law Enforcement profession.  These may include:

Meetings

Meetings for the Calumet County Police Explorers are held the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month.  Meetings are held in the Chilton High School (Entrance F) .  They start at 6pm and usually last approximately 2 hours.

During the meetings, Explorers will conduct short business meeting and then move into training opportunities developed by advisors or will view guest speakers.

If you cannot attend one of our open houses, you are always welcome to stop in at a meeting and see what it is like.  Please use the information listed below to make sure a meeting or event is still being held.

The Wisconsin Law Enforcement Explorer Advisors Association

Calument County Police Exploers Post is a member of the WLEEAA. 

The Wisconsin Law Enforcement Explorer Advisors Association (WLEEAA) is a non-profit, membership based organization that is composed of explorer advisors from across the State of Wisconsin.  http://www.wleeaa.com
